Info

Through rare original photographs, dozens of weekly magazines and illustrated periodicals from the time, original manuscripts, and meticulous documentation, this exhibition reconstructs, act by act, the “love story” between Pier Paolo Pasolini and Maria Callas, along with all the gossip that followed: the rumors, the speculation about their relationship and “marriage” as portrayed in the press and paparazzi shots, the true and false hearsay, the engagement party in Grado, and everything that could be said about a possible “conversion” of Pasolini, hoped for by friends and relatives.

The exhibition paints a social portrait of the conventions and prejudices of that time — and of our own — and above all offers the chance to encounter two of the most tormented souls of the 20th century.

Exhibition in collaboration with Ferrobedò, Milan.
