COMING SOON! "You Can Have It All" by Karla Hiraldo Voleau, curated by Greg Tiani

On Friday, 9 October 2026, from 6:00 pm, Artphilein will inaugurate at its space in Paradiso You Can Have It All (In Return for Everything) by artist Karla Hiraldo Voleau, curated by Greg Tiani. With You Can Have It All, Karla Hiraldo Voleau reflects on body dysmorphia and the therapeutic power of art as a means of processing trauma and reclaiming self-determination. Drawing from personal experience, the artist explores self-perception and the process of learning to accept the body as a home. The project began in Greece in 2019 with a letter addressed to her future self, in which Hiraldo Voleau confronts the complex and conflicted relationship she has with her own body. Through staged self-portraits, challenges, games, and repeated gestures, she transforms anxiety into familiarity and care. You can have it all continues in 2024, between Sardinia and the Verzasca Valley. Here, with rituals ranging from automatic writing to gathering wild plants, she reinterprets witchcraft as a practice of feminist emancipation and self-discovery. Rooted in historical and artistic feminist practices, the project presents the body as a site of resistance, storytelling, and transformation, affirming joy as both a personal and political act beyond ideals of perfection. The exhibition will be on view until 13 November 2026, from Tuesday to Friday, 10:00 am–6:00 pm. The project is presented in collaboration with Fotofestival Lenzburg, where Hiraldo Voleau’s project received the latest Jury Award supported by Artphilein Foundation at the festival’s most recent edition.
